Workshop: How we Suffer Part 2 - When we Don’t Want What we Have - Resisting

We are all looking to be happy, content, and fulfilled - and these states are everyone’s birthright. But we often feel anger, fear, and pain. We push away or avoid what we don’t like or want to face. This often backfires, and what hurts just hurts more or goes underground only to show up again. There is a saying: What you resist, persists. Mindfulness offers ways to work with what is aversive, so we learn to live with such things with greater ease. This is part two of a two-part series. You can take any one or both parts. The workshop will include some meditation, presentation, discussion, and writing. No meditation experience necessary.

Saturday November 20, 2021, 10:00am-noon EST. On Zoom. Fee: $35. Sliding scale available. Email: liz@lizkinchen.com to register by Nov 19.

Note: This workshop is postponed to a later date.
